St. Mary's Episcopal School Moss Hall & Liza's Library

The renovation of Moss Hall and expansion of Liza's Library transforms a historic campus building into a vibrant hub for collaboration, creativity, and discovery. Originally constructed in the 1950s as a private residence, Moss Hall has been thoughtfully reimagined through adaptive reuse and a contemporary 9,000-square-foot addition that seamlessly blends the character of the existing structure with modern educational environments.

Designed to support St. Mary's Episcopal School's commitment to exceptional, student-centered learning, the project includes Liza's Library, a MakerSpace, science classrooms, an art gallery, outdoor learning spaces, a nursery, a school store, and upgraded faculty offices and collaboration areas. Flexible learning environments, abundant natural light, enhanced security, and integrated STEM resources create spaces that inspire curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections.

Named in honor of beloved educator Eliza "Liza" Fletcher, Liza's Library serves as the heart of the addition, celebrating her lasting impact on early childhood literacy and her passion for fostering a lifelong love of learning. More than a renovation, the project honors a cherished legacy while providing a welcoming destination where students, faculty, and families can gather, learn, and grow together.
